I have been tearing, cutting, and tying fabric all weekend… But… I LOVE the end result!
I fell in love with The Nester Swags and thought I’d make one for my kitchen window. The really cool part was that my hubby found these great utensil ornaments after Christmas at Safeway and they were perfect to tie onto my garland… I am thinking I will add old recipe cards and cookie cutters to the garland as well…
This was a super simple project, first I ripped long strips of fabric, then cut them into about 8 inch strips. I also cut black ric rack, ribbon, and a couple other fibers, I had curtain clips left over from another project, and decided to use bias tape as the base to tie my fabric onto.
Here are a couple close ups…

I saw those on her blog as well…they are very cute! Yours turned out so cute! I love it!
The swag looks great and the kitchen ornaments are a great idea. I am still working on my current project. The ottoman is taking little longer than expected. Hope to show the finished pictures soon.
