Actually Christmas items have been in the stores for a while now, today I went shopping with my favorite little Taterbug and we looked at fun decorations.
Look at that big honkin’ acorn {I didn’t buy it}
How about the hootie owl… cute
All these Christmas goodies made me want to come home and make a Christmas craft…
Here is what I came up with, the coloring is off in the picture, but the base is white, sanded, red Merry Christmas, and tea stained.

I love that deer at Target!! It took all I could do not to buy it. I am going to start decorating next week for Christmas. So excited!!

A couple of things here…A) YOU didn’t buy the acorn??? B) ALL this is at Target? WOW–Great! (guess where hubby and I are going tomorrow night?) C) Where is that darling ‘Merry Christmas’ plaque thingie going? So simple, yet just perfect! Oooohh!! I’m getting all tingly with excitement for the season!!
Fun blog!! I love seeing how every one celebrates the season.
And when will that be for sale?….I’m lacking in Christmas for the library! (:
Our dollar store has had christmas decor up since before halloween. It has been really hard for me to restrain myself. I just got back from AZ and while I was there, I stopped in at Kirklands. (they don’t have those here) I so love the store!!!
I had a great time looking at everything and wishing that i had a way to get it all home! Dang airplanes!!!
Your craft is darling. Did you use stamps for the words?
Taterbug had lots of fun shopping with you… and she has read that book to Luke a gazillion times
Thank you for helping me out!
I am proud at your restraint with shopping… I can’t trust myself to just “look”
That plaque is super cute! Great job my friend
