Remember when I said I have a love for acorns?? I seriously think they are super CUTE… Now to eat one… no thanks…. That is until this little idea….
You will need frosting, Hershey Kisses, and mini Nilla Wafers.
Put a small amount of frosting on the bottom of the Nilla Wafer, place the bottom of the Hershey Kiss to the frosting and add a dab of frosting to the top.
I will be serving these at Em’s party tonight. They remind me of a Twix candy, the cookie and chocolate make a tasty treat!

This week my house has been filled with 120 toes, yep you read right… I have had 12 people here Monday, Tuesday, and they will be here again today. I told my hubby I haven’t blogged I am going through withdrawals, but I haven’t been crafting, junkin, or doing any other interesting stuff lately. He suggested I blog about 120 toes, he even went so far as to suggest I have them all sit in a circle and take a picture of there toes… That would be WAY hard considering the ages range from 1 to 15. Plus they aren’t all here at the same time. If they are it is only for about an hour. This has become the hang out for the high school kids {which is fine with me, I am HOME and know what’s going on} 😉 and I have been watching a friends little ones. So there you have it, 120 toes and finally a post. I have crafts and baking on the calendar for later in the week stay tuned!

Yes, that would be me sneezing and stuffy all at the same time, and the pressure in my face ugh….
*Note that is not nasal spray it’s saline spray. Many know that I had an 18 year plus addition to nasal spray, I have been off “the bottle” for over a year now, but I gotta tell yeah, I am mighty tempted though.

This would be my goofy hubby, good thing I always have the camera close by, this is how I found him in the family room, head in laundry basket talking to his dad on the phone….. hmmmmmm?

Em and I were given the GIFT of a day at the spa from all the ladies at MOMents
We finally got to enjoy this gift today… We walked into the most beautiful calming lounge complete with nest painted on the wall.
We were laughing because the way we were taking pictures, seemed more like we were on vacation rather than in our own little town’s bed and breakfast Wine and Roses… Actually that is exactly what it was like a little vacation.
Look at all those colors to choose from, that was very hard for me, Em finally said, “it’s not a tattoo” hahaha so I settled for a dark chocolate color called Midnight in Moscow.
All done, just look at our pretty toes!

I am sure some of you saw Em’s swap items, I thought I’d share mine too, I think I am just about ready, and I don’t even have to mail the fall swap items until Sept 15th, my partner is getting hers early! 😉
The fleur de lis was originally pink, cute… but cuter black with orange polka dots, the wood cat got a black paint job and glitter… mEow…, the witch hat is all sparkly too, then the ever so cute BOO wooden blocks.
Now this isn’t for the swap, but as I have mentioned before I have a serious LOVE for acorns… They are too cute. I found a magazine article from YEARS ago that showed how to make tassels out of salt and pepper shakers… While shopping I found ACORN shakers, so I had to try… Here is the result… I listed this one in my esty shop named… WornAcorn of course!

Wooden key {it is going to get a paint job, any color suggestions}? Silver cream and sugar bowl, I just love picking up little silver pieces, {I still need to post the mini ones I found too cute}, giant soup ladle {again with the things that aren’t to scale… LOVE it} probably going to rub some kind of paint over all that gold {any ideas}?, sliver plated {and chipped up} candle stick holder that I know will get spray painted black {I can see it now}, and a lonely quail salt and pepper shaker {missing it’s mate} I am thinking I could turn it into a tassel or paint it all white?? hmmmmmmm Oh boy I have projects {like I needed new ones} 😉
A bread dough gingerbread boy, did any of you know I H-E-A-R-T anything gingerbread, except the actual cookies yucky… Lots of my Christmas decor is gingerbread I love these guys…. Found this 14 inch cutie for $3.50.
Old children’s books, they have some of the best illustrations…
I love this woman’s decor and check out those chandeliers!
All of this plus a pair of Quicksilver shorts for my son, and a long sleeve Polo shirt for my hubby for under 20 bucks!!
