Reunited…

Early in the fall I went to a garage sale, Em told me had owl things for a quarter!  I bought this cute big eyed owl.

When my parents came over for my birthday, they brought some second hand owls for me.  In the bunch were these two big eyed babies….

I remember saying, those look so familiar… hmmm

Well tonight as I was looking for something in my room, I looked at my book shelf with the one big eyed owl, and it clicked {you know a light bulb moment}… That’s the Momma!  I brought her into the kitchen where the big eyed babies were…. A family REUNITED!

Sew Awesome…

This my friends is my Goodwill treasure…. Thank you Dad, Mom, and Roxanne!  I saw this a few weeks ago, but it was $45.00 and to me that was too high for Goodwill {although I know in an antique store it would have been way more}… So yesterday my hubby and I went in and I was looking at books, he wandered off and came over to me and said, “I found something I think you would like, it’s an old sewing machine”… I informed him I had seen a week ago but the price was too high for me, he went back over and said, “It’s $25.00″…. WHAT, wait… I went over and sure enough the $45.00 was crossed out and it was marked down to $25.00, but wait I never leave home without my $5.00 off coupon….. So this beauty cost me 20 BUCKS!!

NOW…. for my next 20 dollar purchase….

Birthday Fun!

Look at this blanket my sister made me… Don’t you love those cuddly owls??  Dolce likes my blankie too!

She also added to my wooden acorns and an owl candle holder….

This pillow came from my friend Jill, she always gets me something gingerbread…. Did you know I collect gingerbread men??  LOVE them!

This ACORN dish also came from Jill!  SCORE!

Tina W. came over and brought me flowers in this BEAUTIFUL vase, and super cute fall dish towels.

Grandma Shirley brought me these Bless this home stacking boxes…

Em and family brought me movie tickets with this cute card and Tatum presented me the apple in her little hands just like the book cover!

Roxanne and fam gave me Goodwill Bucks, so did my parents…

November Nights

So I am beginning to think my November nights will be spent at Kaiser… Remember last year ?  Although I must say this time it wasn’t as scary, but none the less I was there after dark.  Our son, Johnny played football during PE yesterday at school.  Was collided into by about 4 others from both sides, hurt his wrist on the left hand, his thumb on the right hand, was bleeding from a tooth, his teacher told him to go to the bathroom and rinse his mouth out, on the way… he lost his vision, everything went white and blurry, he had ringing in his ears and fell onto the near by wall… When he regained his wits, he did as he was told, then went to 6th period…. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???  It wasn’t until he got home from school an hour later that I was informed of all of this!  Needless to say I am NOT happy at how lightly this was taken.   I called the advice nurse, and by 5:30 we were headed to after hour care….

Thankfully nothing is broken, just badly sprained… We also had to keep him awake for 8 hours because of a minor concussion.  Of course I think he has the same thing his dad has, and the pain caused the fainting??  Go figure…

Heart Art

Remember back when I listed my randomness… I mentioned my hubby would fax these great pictures over for our sons to receive when he was at work… Here is some of the fax lovin’ we got….

Just so you know we called our oldest Fo Fo or Fo Fo Juice, and our second son is PollyWog or Beans

These treasures are about 11 1/2 years old…. I LOVE everyone of them!

Speaking of treasures…

My mom would get up early in the morning and sit at the bar-stools and doodle on my plain lunch bags.  I loved those lunch bags, so much so that I would carefully fold them, tuck them safely away in my pocket and bring them home.  I have kept them all these years {let’s just say they are over 20 years old}… still gives me warm fuzzies!

Another baby BOY to love…

Our family was blessed with another BOY, my cousin Lyndel and her hubby Jose, just welcomed

8 lbs 14 oz

21 1/2″ long

I wanted to personalize something for him, and after talking to Lyndel, given Jett is his middle name a nursery with planes would be perfect!

I was hoping to post pictures of him, but when we went to visit {they were supposed to come home this morning} they weren’t home, apparently Lyndel has had a horrible MIGRAINE since delivery.  They should be home soon, and I will post his too CUTE picture then!
